6. Q: Is the upgrade of software free the registered users?
A: Any software upgrade is free for registered users.
7. Q: Is there any way that we can make the conversion faster?
A: Video converting is a time consuming job. It depends on the duration, frame size (resolution), the codec of the source file, and those settings for the result file. If you want it faster, you may set a lower frame size.
8. Q: I hope that it will be in a new name after converting my video files. Is your program able to help me with this issue?
A: No problem. On the right panel of the main interface, you can find an item called "File name". After your file is loaded, please highlight it in the program. And then, enter the name you want for the final output file in this field and press "Enter" to confirm. After the conversion is done, the content you input for this field will be the title of the output file.
9: Q: When the conversion is done, I always find that the output file is in such a small resolution. All what I used are default settings. I want to adjust resolution, but I can not find such a resolution item on the right panel. How to agjust the resolution? Please give me some advice.
A: In our program, resolution is called "Video Size". You can find this item on the right. The default value for this option is "Auto", which means that it will retain the original resolution. You can select another value which has been offered in the drop-list or simply enter a proper number you want directly into.
10. Q: When the convertion is done, occasionally, I can not find the output files, where can I found the output files after the conversion?
A: After our software shows "complete" for the conversion job, please click "Open" button which can be found at the bottom of the main interface. You will reach the destination folder directly, from where you will find the output files for your conversion job. Generally, the default destination folder for our program is "C:\Temp".
11. Q: When I play the loaded files in your program, I found that the video quality is not good enough and even the audio is not OK sometimes. Will it affect the final output files?
A: Our software is just a conversion tool. The preview function would be limited by certain files which are not in common codec. So the preview of the original file would not be perfect in certain conditions. But it will not affect the conversion, which means the output file should still be OK.
12. Q: After the conversion to certain audio formats is done, I found that the output audio files always skip. It means there maybe some short breaks during playback. How to correct it?
A: Maybe you have set a smaller value for audio bit rate. Please try a larger one for it. Generally speaking, the default value we offered can assure a good result.
13. Q: If I want to change some settings of conversion. Tell me where can I find them?
A: All the settings of the software can be found on the main interface. After you highlight the file you want to convert and select the output format, the settings that can be changed will be active, such as the “resolution”, ”bit rate”, “frame rate”, “aspect ratio’, “brightness”, “contrast”, “saturation” and so on. Some of them are in drop-down lists and some of them can be changed simply by entering a concrete number.
14. Q: After my original file is loaded into the program, where can I read the basic information of my file, such as Video Size, Video and Audio Codec, etc?
A: Please open "Setting" menu, you will find an item called "Show File Information". It will be an independent small window which shows the basic configuration of the loaded file. In the small window, you will read those information items.
15. Q: What is FLV and what its advantage?
A: FLV means Flash video, which is commonly used in the playback of web page. It is in smaller size so that its playback on the web page would be smoother than other formats, and also, you do not need install any other additional programs on your PC while it is played on the web page. So it is very convenient than other formats.
16. Q: When converting, there seems to be a file size limitation of 4 GB per file. If I can change it, how?
A: Certain file systems have file size limitation. If your HDD is formatted using FAT32 system, you cannot create files larger than 4 GB on it. Normally, Windows XP and 2000 offer to format your HDD using NTFS, but you can also select FAT32, when you install the OS. The only way out of this situation is reformat your HDD using a more up-to-date NTFS file system, or convert video to a HDD which is already using this file system.
17. Q: If I want to import many files by one time, how can I import them simultaneous?
A: You'd better put all your files into one folder and open it with our software. Multi-selection is available by pressing "Ctrl" key and highlighting them at same time. Actually, our software supports "dragging to load". It means you can select all the files you want to convert in the Windows and then drag them into the program. Our software will get them loaded automatically. It is quite convenient. But in the Wizard, you can only load files into the program one by one since you can only highlight one file each time.
18. Q:If the video is not in sync with the audio. How to resolve it? Please tell me the reason.
A: Unfortunately not all conversions go 100% smoothly and some result in the Audio and Video out of synchronization. This can be due to many reasons with the primary problems being the original movie source and codec clashes. I suggest looking at using an alternative video codec or audio codec.
19. Q: Befofe the convertion, I modified some proper modifications on settings, is it possible to save it as a single profile so that I can use it directly each time?
A: It can be done by the "Save As" button. After you finish the modifications, please click this button and finish other jobs following instructions. After the profile is created, you can delete or re-name it as you like. But you can not do that in the Wizard since it is an advanced option.
20. Q: I want to play the output FLV files on my PC with certain player program, is it possible?
A: There are certain available players that you can find out on Internet. One of them that we recommend is from http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000-2139_4-10467081.html, and it is free. If you do not like it, you can do a search through Google.
21. Q: I am watching the output FLV files in the FLV Player program, but the quality of is not very good. Is it possible that I can get better quality?
A: If you want to get output files in better quality, you'd better set a larger value for Video Bit Rate on the right panel of the main interface. The default value for this option is 200. Before entering a proper number, you must highlight the loaded files first. The larger number you entered, the larger output size you will get.
But generally, since FLV is mainly used on web playback, its size should not be very large. So the quality of the FLV would not be as good as some other media format, such as WMV or DivX.
22. Q: What are the characteristics of frame rate?
A: In basic terms, a video can be thought of as being made up of numerous snapshots, called frames. In basic term Frame Rate defines how many pictures e.g.. frames one second of video or audio contains, normally used acronym for framerate is fps - frames per second. Human eye can't see picture changes after the framerate is more than ~24fps.
Video files with higher frame rates show motion better but have larger file sizes. Typical frame rates are 29.97 for NTSC video (in American TV system), 25 for PAL (European system) video, and 24 for film. When exporting low-bandwidth versions, select a frame rate that is 1/2, 1/3, or 1/4 of the original frame rate. Setting a frame rate higher than the original frame rate will make the file larger but will not improve the quality.
23. Q: What is bitrate? Tell me some details about it.
A: Bit rate very often used when speaking of video or audio quality and file size - defines how much physical space one second of audio or video takes in bits (note: not in bytes). The higher the bit rate, the more times per second the original sound is sampled, thus yielding a more faithful reproduction and better sound. When choosing an MP3, weigh the advantage of a higher bit rate against the size of the file. Generally speaking, a bit rate of 128 kbps or higher will provide satisfactory sound quality.
The same is with the video picture: the higher the bit rate, the better the picture quality although the output video file size also gets larger. If it is possible to save the output file onto a storage with a large capacity the use of higher video bit rates can be recommended.
